Two ways to create your first Road Trip
After signing up for free, you land on your dashboard — a full-screen map with a timeline at the bottom and a sidebar on the right.

Method 1 — Build your Road Trip by hand (free)
Step 1: Add your first stages
In the timeline at the bottom, click the “+” button between stage cards. A crosshair appears on the map: search for an address or place your pointer, then confirm.
You need at least 2 stages: a departure and an arrival. Between them, add as many stages as you like — up to 10 on the Free plan.
Each stage can be typed:
- Classic — a simple waypoint
- Coffee break — ~20 min pause applied automatically
- Meal — ~1 hour
- Overnight — marks accommodation
- Must-see — viewpoint, monument, iconic pass
Rider tip: click on points of interest on the map (restaurants, fuel stations, passes, motorcycle garages…) and choose “Add as stage”.
Step 2: Let rydrway trace the route
With 2+ stages, rydrway automatically calculates the motorcycle route via GraphHopper. No “Calculate” button — the route updates in about 1.2 seconds after each change.
The timeline shows distance, duration (breaks included), elevation, and average speed. Per segment, choose twisty or fast routes, and avoid tolls, highways, or ferries.
Step 3: Reorder as you like
Drag and drop stage cards in the timeline. The map route recalculates instantly.
Step 4: Save your Road Trip
Click “Save” in the sidebar and give it a title — e.g. “Alps Tour 2026” or “Brittany Coastal Ride”.
Find it anytime under “My Road Trips”.
Free plan limits: 1 saved road trip, up to 10 stages, GPX export costs 5 credits (PDF export is free).
Method 2 — Let AI create your Road Trip (Premium)
Click “Generate with AI” at the bottom of the sidebar.
Step 1/3 — Describe your dream
Set departure and arrival — or check “Loop” to return to the start. Pick a duration (2–4 h, day trip, weekend, week) and describe what you want:
“Twisty mountain roads, iconic passes, coffee stops with a view, and as few highways as possible.”
Step 2/3 — Refine with the AI assistant
Chat with the assistant to fine-tune your plan. Each exchange costs 5 AI credits.
Step 3/3 — Generate and ride
Select a proposal and click “Generate my Road Trip”. For 15 credits, the full itinerary lands in the editor with geolocated stages and a calculated route.
